NJ Fulbright Spring 2014 meeting will be on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 1:30 -4 pm. It will be  held at the Hamilton club-http://www.pccc.edu/home/cultural-affairs/art-galleries/the-hamilton-club-building Hamilton Club Building is located at 32 Church Street in Paterson, New Jersey. GPS Users – Please use 203 Ellison St, Paterson NJ 07505

The program will focus on Fulbright Students and Scholars in a panel presentation.

  • Nisreen Rajab  “Appreciate the Difference” Fulbright Student Scholar from Jordan
  • Sebastian Falk “A Saxon in the US” Fulbright Student Scholar from Germany” He is a current Fulbright Grantee. He was born on the 13th on June 1990 in Chemnitz (Germany). He studied Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin and graduated in March 2013. After that Sebastian went in August 2013 to the USA to obtain the Master’s degree in Power and Energy Systems at the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
  • Emily Apisa  “Teaching in Turkey: A Fulbright ETA’s Experience” Fulbright Student Scholar to Turkey. After graduating from La Salle University in 2011 with her Bachelor’s Degree, she was selected to be an English Teaching Assistant at Afyon Kocatepe University in Afyonkarahisar, Turkey for the 2011-2012 school year. She is currently a Sending Operations Coordinator at AFS Intercultural Programs, an organization that facilitates study abroad programs primarily for high school students.
  • Jessica Martin  “From Erzurum” Fulbright Student Scholar to Turkey. She was a 2011-2012 Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) at Atatürk University in Erzurum, Turkey.  She is currently enrolled in NYU Steinhardt’s Master’s in International Education program and received her Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in 2010.  She currently works as a Budget Assistant at NYU’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies and aspires to transition into working with exchange programs upon completion of her Master’s.
GUEST SPEAKERS-
  • As well as presentations by Bridges of Hope Project- BOHP- http://bohp.org/ Bahar Sevin Buber will outline BOHP initiatives.
Followed by a short board meeting.
For lunch, middle eastern food will be delivered around 1:15pm. by Oz Karadeniz Restaurant in Paterson.
